I tried a new crockpot recipe for ribs last night, the recipe called for vinegar, brown sugar, worshire sauce & oregano added to bar b q sauce & cooked on low over night, I was expecting a wow! explosion of taste in my mouth just knowing they’d be um um good! but no. just a plain ole BBQ taste, all the additives didn’t change the flavor nor the taste so what was the point, but all in the the meat fell off the bone tender & was good, we discussed perhaps it was because we used boneless ribs, perhaps the bone in would have had a different effect on the additives

Hi Nanna, I wanted to be one of the first to follow your new blog. I am always looking for ideas to give our dinners a new twist and keep mealtime interesting. I was just talking with my daughter about cock-potting the other day. She uses hers all the time, and now that I'm retired, for some reason I haven't been using it. When I think about it, it sounds funny to me, because I am busier now than when I was working. I guess it's time to dig it out.
Have a lovely day.
Your blogging sister, Connie :)
