Well today was the day to try the TASTE OF HOME recipe for beef Stew, a friend of mine let me in on a tip for raw meat, rinse it in a vinegar bath & it will pull out the blood , that’s why it’s so pink lol! you cannot taste the vinegar , I think all my meat will get vinegar bath from now one lol! then I floured & browned it in batches, a tip I picked up from Food Network as they’re always saying don’t crowd the meat! lol!then the chopping & finally to the crock pot!

from the taste of Home website, we didn't care for the taste that the bay leaf left & the stew meat was not as tender as I’d liked it to of been, I will be on the lookout for a good roast at a reasonable price & defiantly give this recipe another go, I think with a little tweaking & a better cut of meat it will become a recipe box keeper!
