With only four calendar days of summer left, whatever shall you do with them? Summer’s are filled with porch swinging, fishing,ice-cream making, baseball games, gardening , crockpot cooking, sandwich making grilling kind of days & anything & everything with the grandkids & trust me ours can come up with some stuff lol!yes there always seems to be more crammed into Summer than any other season & although Summer is on it’s way out Fall holds many new & exciting adventures as the Holidays start to emerge ,even though we say goodbye to Summer we say welcome Fall, come on in!
HAM & CHEESE SLIDDERS
1-2 pks Hawaiian rolls
1 onion minced
1 stick of butter
3 TBS. Dijon mustard
2-3 tea sp. Worcestershire sauce
3 tea.sp. poppy seeds ( I omitted these)
1 & 1/2 lbs shaved ham or more depending how thick you want them
8-10 slices of Swiss cheese
in a sauce pan or skillet melt butter & sauté the onion
add mustard, Worcestershire, poppy seeds & simmer 5 min.
slice rolls in half & place on foiled lined pan
add about 2/3 of the mixture onto the rolls ( I just eyeballed & covered each roll)
add ham, cheese & put the roll tops on
pour remaining mixture over tops of rolls
bake 20 min at 350 degrees
do not get excited & think you need extra sauce, you do not want them soggy!
Lemonade is SIMPLY LEMONADE found in the orange juice/milk section at your local grocery
