SOMETIMES YOU JUST GOTTA HAVE FRIED CHICKEN

 

upon watching the pioneer woman on food Network make fried chicken yesterday, I just had to do it! she dipped the chicken in beaten eggs then flour,she added just enough milk to the flour to make crumbles, this made it so yummy crispy, well the more I thought about it throughout the day, I made up two pieces  late last night, yea I could not stood it some more lol! boy oh boy was it good! so today I made some for dinner

there were baked potatoes left  from the 4th, so what to do  but mash one up & add a little butter & milk & waa laa we got mashed potatoes! add some black-eyed peas, turnip greens & sliced tomatoes & you’ve got a winner winner chicken dinner!

we don’t do fried foods that much so , even after gallbladder surgery  fried still tries  to bite back once in a while & the gravy from the drippings wasn’t healthy nor diet friendly but it sure was good lol! if there were to be any no no’s on the plate  it would be the fried & the gravy, we can now start to bring in starches, breads, & pastas, just not too much, I’ve lost about 10lbs & not gonna mess that up lol!
