This past week I stayed at my daughters house while she & my oldest granddaughter had an awesome opportunity to go on a Mission trip to China, as I pondered what to have for lunch each day while waiting on the school bus to bring my little bundles home from school I thought awww I’ll try out some of those salads I’ve been euing & awning on my pinterst board lol!
CRAB SALAD (Golden Corral)
the first day we went to an Apple farm a two hour drive only to discover it was closed, but all was not lost, we stopped by Golden Corral for lunch yea for Golden Corral to get me started on my week of salads but first we stopped for homemade peach ice cream, yea we did that backwards lol
CESAR SALAD
This salad is a pre packaged Cesar salad kit found in most all grocery stores, Wal-Mart etc. I don’t mix it all together to make one big salad, I open the dressing packet & pour into a small sealable bowl, as well as the cheese that comes with it ,this allows me more options with my lettuce as you will see I used this lettuce for my Tuna salad
OUTBACK COPYCAT WEDGE SALAD
it was actually good & will be added to my recipe keepers collection lol drizzle ranch dressing, add tomatoes red onions bacon(I used real bacon bits) feta which I forgot to buy, glaze made from reducing balsamic vinegar & honey
Wed, Reece didn’t have school so we went back to the Apple farm & got our Apples, we stopped for a burger on the way back home, got Reece down for a nap , then made cookies when the girls got in from school after homework was done, 1st grade easy peasy lol!
TUNA SALAD WITH POPPY SED DRESSING
I came across this recipe on Pinterest, & gotta admit wasn’t too sure about poppy seed with my tuna lol! but it turned out to be a winner & recipe keeper! lettuce from my Caesar salad kit, white tuna, boiled eggs, tomatoes, crotons, poppy seed dressing ,I just had a picture to go by & it looked like poppy so that’s’ what I went with turned out to be a good choice, when the girls got in , we worked on Aprons
CHEF SALAD
What to do with al the little bit of this & little bit of that from other salads? A good ole chef salad! lettuce, tomatoes, cucumbers, cheeses, seasoned chicken strips, red onion, real bacon bits croutons, Ranch dressing
PEAR SALAD
I do believe this one was my favorite, maybe because of it’s sweetness lol! a mixtures of left over salad leaves from the chef & the iceberg, I really stretched my lettuce lol! fresh pear sliced in wedges, cranberry& pecan mix, praline pecans dressing made from balsamic vinegar , maple syrup, & Dijon mustard, oil, salt, pepper
the outback wedge, tuna, & the pear were new to me, you can click the links for a printable recipe
